A continuous pedestrian walkway and cycleway, that connects the various waterfront areas from Herne Bay in the west to TEAL Park in the east, would be a signature feature of Auckland’s waterfront.

The Waitemata Harbour waterfront is one of Auckland’s greatest assets. With its flat terrain and world-class scenery, a safe and well connected recreational walking and cycling promenade that will enhance public access and enjoyment of the waterfront area has the potential to be one of Auckland’s most widely used public amenities and an iconic feature of our city.
